Deputy Head Ephor

As Deputy Head Ephor, I aim to set a positive example while helping to strengthen the inclusive and supportive community that makes The Edinburgh Academy so special. I want to be someone students feel comfortable approaching—whether they’d like to share an idea or simply have a chat. My goal is to make this role my own while making the most of my final year at school.

I first joined The Edinburgh Academy in Primary 5, and since then, I’ve grown enormously in confidence, learning to push myself both inside and outside the classroom. My favourite subjects are Biology and Drama, as I enjoy their practical elements and the different ways they challenge me. Biology deepens my fascination with how the human body works, while Drama allows me to express myself creatively and work collaboratively with others.

Looking ahead, I hope to study Medicine at university. I’ve always been drawn to helping others, and pursuing a career in medicine feels like a natural way to combine that passion with my love of science.

EA has been incredibly special to me because of the unwavering support it offers. No matter what you’re interested in, there’s always someone willing to guide you or simply be there when you need reassurance. My advice to anyone starting at the Senior School is to get involved in as many activities as you can—it truly makes the biggest difference. Taking part in a variety of opportunities has helped me make wonderful friends, discover new interests, and develop skills that will stay with me long after I leave the Academy.
