Floreat 1824 Whisky

Floreat 1824

To commemorate Edinburgh Academy’s bicentennial year, we are delighted to introduce our limited edition Floreat 1824 whisky.

A marriage of seven specially selected American oak sherry octaves of Ardnamurchan Single Malts the youngest of which is six years of age. Two octaves were filled with peated whisky giving the final dram a delicate hint of smokiness.

Tasting Notes:

“The colour of polished rosewood, Floreat 1824 displays a good bead giving an indication of the rich mouth texture to come. A mellow nose feel gives way to distinct maritime notes of warm sand dunes and rock salt. This freshens further with citrus peel and lemon zest with a hint of green walnut and roasted peanuts. A mouth-coating, oily texture brings a sweeter finish with notes of fresh coconut and treacle toffee, finishing long with burnt chocolate cake.” — Charles Maclean, MBE

How to buy:

Due to our school's status, we are not permitted to sell alcohol without the appropriate license. As a result, we obtain a temporary alcohol license at various times throughout the year. Floreat can be purchased at any time, but it can only be collected or delivered when a valid license is in place.

The next expected license period will begin the week commencing 16th June and will be valid for two weeks.

Delivery within the UK is permitted for an additional postage fee of £9.00.

When collecting whisky, please provide valid ID showing that you are over 25, as we operate a challenge 25 policy.

To arrange a collection date during this period, please contact info@accessea.co.uk after purchasing your bottle of Floreat. We’ll be happy to arrange a suitable collection time with you.
