Deputy Head Ephor
As Deputy Head Ephor, my main goal is to lead by example, support students, and help foster a positive and inclusive school community where everyone feels they belong.
I joined The Edinburgh Academy in 2nds (S1), and since then, I’ve really come to appreciate how much the school encourages curiosity and individuality. My favourite subject is Chemistry—ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by experiments and discovering how things work. My parents’ love of baking first showed me how chemistry plays a part in everyday life, and that interest has only deepened throughout my time at the Academy.
I hope to study Chemistry at university, with a particular interest in perfumery, distilling, and the science behind scents—the way they’re created and how they can evoke memories is something that continues to captivate me.
One of the things I value most about EA is the small class sizes. The individual attention and one-to-one support from teachers have made a huge difference in my learning and personal growth.
My advice to anyone new to the school is to get involved in as much as you can—academics, sports, clubs, or anything else that sparks your interest. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Everyone here genuinely wants to see you succeed, and no one will ever judge you for giving something a try.
