Bus Information
We have partnerered with Vectare, a specialist School Transport management company. Vectare will manage all aspects of the school’s bus service. All bookings for school bus routes are made via the Vectare online booking portal. Payment is made at the time of booking and your child’s name will automatically be added to the register. Any enquiries can be directed to their team at edinburghacademy@vectare.co.uk.

Miss the bus?
The procedure for any pupils who miss the bus are to be:
At Senior School Henderson Row:
Senior School Pupils at the Senior School pick up
- Duty Janitor to be at lodge from 4.55pm until 5.10pm Monday to Thursday and from 3.40pm until 4.05pm on a Friday.
- Pupils will be told to report to Janitors Lodge if they miss the bus.
- If a pupil arrives at lodge they are to be given access to a phone to let their parents know the situation. The options open to the parent are: come and collect the pupil in which case they remain in the Lodge, arrange a taxi to the station and pupil travels by train home and finally arrange a taxi to take pupil home. Whatever course of action is adopted it must be agreed by the parent first.
At Junior School Arboretum Road:
Senior School Pupils after games
- If they miss the bus they are to report to the Sports Hall and find the Duty Manager/Attendant.
- If a pupil arrives at Sports Hall they are to be given access to a phone to

- Come and collect the pupil in which case they remain in the Lodge, arrange a taxi to the station and pupil travels by train home and finally arrange a taxi to take pupil home. Whatever course of action is adopted it must be agreed by the parent first.
Junior School Pupils
- This situation should not arise as the assumption is that a pupil in the Junior School will be at the After School Club prior to getting on the bus. However if a pupil misses the bus they are to report to the Afterschool Club until collected by the parents or an alternative arrangement can be made.
