Ephor – Inclusion

As one of the Ephors for Inclusion, my goal this year is to help make The Edinburgh Academy an even more welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. My first project is to establish a Neurodiversity Discussion Group, similar to the Minority Union and LGBT Group already active at the school. I also hope to improve the Chatterbox system and continue building a culture where every pupil feels safe, accepted, and valued for who they are.

I first joined The Edinburgh Academy in Nursery, starting in the Beech Room, and I’m proud to have been here ever since. Over the years, the school has become a huge part of my life, and I’ve always appreciated the sense of community shared between pupils and teachers. That supportive atmosphere is something I now hope to contribute to and strengthen in my role as an Ephor.

My favourite subjects are Latin, English, and Drama—all of which I’m studying at Advanced Higher. I also really enjoy History, Geography, Photography, and Biology. Looking ahead, I plan to study Classics at the University of St Andrews, where I can continue pursuing my love of ancient languages and culture.

What makes The Edinburgh Academy special to me is the warmth and support of its people—students and staff alike. Everyone genuinely wants to help you succeed and enjoy your time here. My advice to anyone joining the school would be to make the most of every opportunity and remember that there’s always someone willing to support you when you need it.
