Ephor – Head of Tours

As the Tours Ephor, my goal is to present The Edinburgh Academy as the welcoming, vibrant environment that it truly is—a place where students are encouraged to grow into well-rounded individuals. I want to make sure our tour guides feel comfortable and confident, so that every tour is engaging and gives prospective pupils and parents a genuine sense of what makes the school so special.

I joined the Academy in Geits (P7) at the age of 11, and from my very first day, I found it to be an incredibly welcoming community. That sense of belonging and connection remains one of my favourite aspects of school life.

I’m currently studying Advanced Highers in English, Modern Studies, and Drama—all subjects I love for their depth and creativity. Outside the classroom, I also have a strong interest in History and Philosophy. I’m drawn to subjects that explore stories, ideas, and systems that shape the way we see and understand the world.

Looking ahead, I’d like to study Politics at university. I find the ways societies are governed—and how those systems influence people’s lives—endlessly fascinating.

What I value most about The Edinburgh Academy is its strong sense of community and the freedom it gives students to pursue their passions. The level of support and encouragement here means that, whatever your ambitions are, you truly have the opportunity to achieve them.

My advice to anyone joining the Senior School would be to set your goals high and make the most of the support around you. At this school, anything is possible if you’re willing to reach for it.
