To Accie brothers Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean (BROAR),

A massive congratulations on completing the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge, known as the ‘world’s toughest row’! Not only have you completed the challenge in only 35 days, you placed first in your category, became the fastest trio and the first, fastest and youngest brothers to row across any ocean. We cannot express how proud we are of the three of you and what you have accomplished.

The hard work and dedication throughout your whole journey to raise money for two great causes (Feedback Madagascar and Children 1^st) is truly admirable. We watched every stroke of your 3000-mile voyage from the Canary Islands to Antigua in the West Indies and marveled as you faced unimaginable challenges – from massive waves, storms and raw food packages to blisters, stomach bugs and sleep deprivation. Not to mention the corrosion of your mobile chargers. But you have shown to us that almost any challenge can be overcome with sheer determination, including Lachlan making ‘the Atlantic flapjack’ when you got bored of your snack packs.

We can’t wait to hear how you have found the experience, from the sunset views to having pacemakers in the form of Dolphins! You have conquered an epic challenge, unimaginable to many, and faced countless obsticals. Above all, you had a once in a lifetime experience filled with unforgettable memories.
