Ephor – Head of Kinross

As one of the Heads of Kinross Division, my goal this year is to help bring the trophy home. To achieve that, I want to motivate everyone to give their best while creating an atmosphere where people enjoy the journey just as much as the competition. Winning is always exciting, but for me, what matters most is that the whole division feels proud of what we accomplish together.

I joined The Edinburgh Academy in the last year of Nursery, and it’s been a huge part of my life ever since. Over the years, I’ve discovered a love for many subjects, but Geography and Maths stand out the most. Geography fascinates me because it reveals how much goes on behind the scenes of everyday life and helps me understand how our world has been shaped—and how it continues to change. I also enjoy Maths because there’s always one right answer. No matter how difficult a problem might seem, if you keep working at it, you’ll eventually find the solution.

I haven’t yet decided what I want to study after school, as there are still so many exciting paths I’d like to explore.

What I love most about The Edinburgh Academy is its strong sense of community. Because it’s a smaller school, everyone knows each other, and that closeness creates a warm, supportive atmosphere. The relationships between students and teachers make it a truly special place to learn and grow.

My advice to anyone joining the Senior School is to throw yourself into everything. Try new things, get involved in sports, music, and clubs, and make the most of every opportunity. Time moves quickly, so make it count—you’ll get out exactly what you put in.
