Susan Ower KC

Susan is a practising advocate, who specialises in commercial litigation, insolvency and company disputes. She has significant experience in representing companies, company directors, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and individuals. She also served as standing junior counsel to the Scottish Government for over ten years.

Susan graduated from the University of Dundee where she read Scots Law. She was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2009, and appointed King’s Counsel in 2023.

Susan was appointed as an ad-hoc Advocate Depute in 2018.

She is also member of the Scottish Technical Committee for R3, the trade body for the insolvency profession in the United Kingdom.

Susan is married with two children, both of whom attend the Edinburgh Academy.
