Barney joined the Council in 2019. He works as an in-house legal counsel for Trainline.com Limited having qualified as a solicitor for Morton Fraser LLP. He spent all his school (and nursery!) years at the Academy leaving in 2018. He then went on to study at The University of Glasgow together with spells in America (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) and China (Nankai University). He’s a keen sportsman playing golf at Gullane and spending many Saturdays at Tynecastle or Murrayfield.
